Casa Sierra Maestra Bartlome Maso is a hostel surrounded by nature, forest and mountains. It is located at the entrance of the Turquino National Park, on the banks of the Yara River. The main attractions are the tour guide, hiking, climb to the mountains, ascent to the Turquino peak and visit the historic Commandance of La Plata. It is a perfect place for lovers of nature.
Home In its origins, it was the primary school of the town. It currently has two rooms for tourists, as well as modern style cabins.

In the middle of the Sierra Maestra, very well conditioned, comfortable and in an ideal situation to climb Comandancia de la Plata or Pico Turquino. Some pools to cool off in the area. Beautiful landscapes. Junco's attention, his family and all his staff, is outstanding. The kitchen, one of the best we've had in Cuba, completely homemade (the roast pork is highly recommended).
